Can we have a legal Marriage Ceremony?

Yes, we are licensed for a Marriage Ceremonies which can be held under our covered deck space or outside in the Woodland.

Can we have a Church wedding?

There are local churches that you can use if you wish to get married in the church. You can Still use The Dreys for everything else.

Can we have our ceremony outside?

You can have a legal marriage or blessing ceremony in our beautiful woodland clearing.

How many guests can we invite?

For ceremonies and seated dinner we can accommodate 150 guests. For evening receptions 250.

What about heating?

We’ve got an outdoor fire pit to keep you and your guests warm, you can even have s’mores if you like. We also have concealed heating in both Marquees

What happens if there’s a power cut?

We’ve got diesel power generators and emergency back up lighting. So, if there’s any issue from the National Grid we'll have it all sorted ASAP and the party won’t stop!

What's the earliest we can begin?

Guests arrivals from 2pm, Ceremonies from 2.30pm.

Is there a bar is the venue licensed for music and alcohol?

The Dreys has held a premise licence since 2014 and runs a professional in house bar.

Can we bring our own drinks and wine?

No, all drinks and alcohol must be purchased from the venue. We work with a great supplier who can usually source anything we do not already stock.

Can we stay overnight?

We offer glamping to our guests. You can stay in the Woodcutters Cabin and your Guests can choose either Shepherd Huts or one of our 10 Bell Tents. Click Here for prices and avalibilty.

What music can we have?

We’ve got a few options with music! You’re welcome to plug and play. This means you bring your own device with a playlist (we have a lighting and sound system). You are also able to have a DJ, band or of course a mix of all of them.

Can we bring our own flowers and decorations?

The Dreys has been beautifully styled already however, our wedding dolls can look after this for you, if you like. They can also help you with our trusted wedding suppliers list if you want something different.

Can we use our own caterers?

The wedding feast is often seen as one of the key elements of the occasion. At The Dreys we are passionate about delivering all of our events to an extremely high standard, so we take care of all of the food and drink in house with our excellent partners. They freshly prepare and serve all the food on site. You can choose from an excellent range of wine, champagne, beer and spirits. All couples are encouraged to come to one of our taster sessions where you can taste the food and see the venue.

Is there a wedding planning service?

We've included wedding planning and on the day coordination for all wedding bookings. We are absolutely thrilled to introduce you to the Wedding Dolls. They'll help you fulfil your visions of your dream day.

Can we make changes after we have agreed the quote and booked our dates?

This is your dream day, if you would like to make changes we encourage you to pick up the phone and speak to us about any changes. We’re here, right on hand to help you with anything you might need or want for your day. We can make changes right up to 4 weeks before your day.

Is there car parking on site?

There is car parking access, please be mindful its in the woods there are some lumps and bumps

What about disabled access and facilities?

We do have access! Please make sure you let the crew know and they'll support with entry. We also have disabled toilet facilities. It's worth knowing we have different levels/ramps although the venue is easily navigated.

What about fireworks, smoke bombs, balloons and lanterns?

We recommend quiet fire work (speak to our Dolls for approved suppliers) . We don't mind smoke bombs, if you're careful. We're sorry we don't allow for balloons or lanterns as they're harmful to the environment.

What happens if the event is cancelled?

On rare occasions guests will need to cancel the event. We strongly recommend that you get wedding insurance in case of unforeseeable circumstances. Please also refer to our terms and conditions sent at point of booking confirmation)
